📚 Exciting news from the Trade Commission of Spain in Miami! We had the pleasure of attending the American Library Association (ALA) 2024 Annual Conference & Exhibition, held from June 27 to July 2 at the San Diego Convention Center. This event brought together thousands of librarians, library staff, authors, publishers, educators, and exhibitors, making it the largest library event in the world. 🇪🇸 We proudly participated with America Reads Spanish, a campaign by ICEX aimed at increasing the use and reading of our language through thousands of libraries, schools, and bookstores across the United States. Our involvement in this prestigious event highlights Spain's commitment to fostering international collaboration in the fields of education and literature. We had the opportunity to network with key stakeholders, showcase Spanish literature, and explore new avenues for cooperation and cultural exchange. Get to know the latest figures of the tile sector in the U.S.! 📄 Find published in the ICEX portal the latest fact sheet about the #Tile sector in the U.S., prepared by Alejandro Rovatti Bovea,Ana García Ballester and Julen Iruretagoyena. The United States has always been one of the main destinations for Spanish tile exports. In the last decade, the U.S. has gone from being the sixth destination for Spain to take over the first place. In 2023, in terms of value, U.S. imports of ceramic tiles from Spain accounted for 23.90% of the total. This fact sheet shows the characteristics of this market, providing quantitative and qualitative data on the supply and demand of ceramic tiles and related products. This information is useful for Spanish companies interested in exporting their products to the U.S. and for experts in the sector. We're thrilled to have been a part of the CoMotion Miami 2024 event, which stands as a pinnacle in showcasing the latest advancements in mobility and transportation technology and innovation. Our participation on May 6th and 7th was not only an opportunity to engage with industry leaders but it was also an honor to stand alongside esteemed Spanish companies like Bravent, Meep, ÀNIMA Design, imotion Analytics, BENITO URBAN and Scoobic_nl, as well as EMT Madrid. The Trade Commission of Miami also organized a Round Table on Spanish Solutions for Urban Mobility that proved to be very fruitful, fostering a meaningful dialogue and collaboration opportunities. Last week, the 2024 edition of Coverings took place in Atlanta, where the Trade Commission of the Embassy of Spain in Miami and ICEX represented Tile of Spain. A total of 55 Spanish exhibitors participated in the Spanish pavilion, a number that underlines the importance of the US market for the Spanish tile sector. During the 4 days of the event, the Tile of Spain Pavilion carried out different activities with the aim of reinforcing the brand image of Spanish ceramic tiles, highlighting the advantages of this material and emphasizing the quality and prestige of the Spanish product. Various tours were made through the stands of Spanish companies to present the new products to the trade press and industry influencers. In addition, Tile of Spain consultant Ryan Fasan, presented the latest trends in the sector and told us  what to  expect in the immediate future for Spanish tiles in terms of development and innovation. Five podcasts were also recorded with industry experts to discuss different relevant current topics. New this year was an interactive area where visitors could create mood boards using samples donated by participating Spanish companies. Participating in this show is always exciting given the weight of imports from Spain in the US market.
