Today, Town of Holly Springs Economic Development attended Raleigh Chamber’s Economic Development Annual Meeting. This meeting explored how economic development projects are transforming our region’s school system, infrastructure, and overall success. Executives from companies that have recently chosen Wake County, including Holly Springs’ very own FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies, shared their insights on why they selected our market. Local and regional leaders then discussed the ripple effect of these project wins. The event highlighted the tremendous progress and exciting opportunities ahead for Wake County. We are looking forward to witnessing and contributing to the continued growth and success of our community! #EDAM2024

Congratulations to Kendra Parrish, the Town's Executive Director of Utilities and Infrastructure, who received the Glass Ceiling Award at the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce 2024 Women's Empowerment Conference last week. Kendra has been dedicated to serving the Town of Holly Springs for 22 years, working on a variety of projects and with numerous partners at all levels of government. "Kendra Parrish is a trailblazer, a leader, and a role model," the Chamber said. "She has demonstrated that true leadership is about service, vision, and the courage to forge new paths." Way to go, Kendra!

As an international biotechnology hub, the Town of Holly Springs is strengthening its position in the competitive global market at the annual #BIO2024 conference. Town Economic Development team members joined the North Carolina Biotechnology Center (NCBiotech), Wake County Economic Development, and other partners to solidify Holly Springs as one of the premier locations for life science manufacturing in the world.

The economic momentum in Holly Springs is continuing! That was the message shared by Town and regional leaders who gathered today for the 2024 Economic Forecast, hosted by the Town of Holly Springs and Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored by Amgen.   Wake County Economic Development Executive Director Michael Haley moderated panelists including Wake Technical Community College President Dr. Scott Ralls, Amgen Corporate Affairs Site Lead Dana Martinez, and Holly Springs Economic Development Director Irena Krstanovic.   Panelists discussed the importance of collaboration between the private sector and educational partners to invest in our current and future workforce to prepare for thousands of jobs coming to the region.

Holly Grove Middle School students visited Town Hall today to learn more about entrepreneurship and business concepts as part of their Career and Technical Education classes. Staff shared how the Town as a whole supports business in Holly Springs.

The Town Communications & Marketing team was awarded top honors at the NC City & County Communicators (NC3C) conference! The Town of Holly Springs was among 24 North Carolina jurisdictions to earn recognition in the NC3C 2024 Excellence in Communications Awards. In honor of #EarthDay, 70 employees from CSL Seqirus volunteered in our #HollySprings parks this morning. They helped spread mulch along the trail at Bass Lake Park, painted the fences at Sugg Farm Park and completed a park litter sweep. Thank you for taking time to give back to our community!
