About us
Tory Burch is an American luxury lifestyle brand founded in New York in 2004. What began with a boutique in Manhattan and an e-commerce site has since grown into a global business with more than 370 stores across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, Asia and Australia. In addition, the brand is available at more than 3,000 department and specialty stores worldwide. Tory’s design philosophy is defined by effortless silhouettes, innovative materials, eclectic juxtapositions of color, and the tension of past and present. Her collections include ready-to-wear, handbags, footwear, accessories, jewelry, home and beauty. Empowering women is Tory’s guiding principle, expressed through her collections and her work at the Tory Burch Foundation. Established in 2009, the Foundation provides women entrepreneurs in the United States with capital, education, and community. Every Tory Burch product supports the Foundation’s work to empower women. Through her unique hybrid model, Tory has created a paradigm for authentic brand purpose. Tory has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including the CFDA for Accessory Designer of the Year, Harper’s Bazaar’s Designer of the Year, the Parsons School of Design’s Table Award, the Wharton School’s Jay H. Baker Retailing Center’s Retail Excellence Award, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Sandra Taub Humanitarian Award, Forbes’s Most Powerful Women in the World, and Glamour’s Women of the Year. Her first book, Tory Burch In Color (Abrams, 2014), was a New York Times Best Seller, and her designs have been featured in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.

Ada Lovelace, the world’s first computer programmer. Annie Easley, NASA rocket scientist. Hedy Lamarr, tech inventor (and, yes, 1940s Hollywood bombshell). Women have had real impact in the Technology sector from the beginning yet hold only 14% of leadership roles today, according to the Nash Squared Digital Leadership Report, 2023. At Tory Burch, women are leading technology. Since joining the company in 2021, Chief Technology Officer Magali Muratore (pictured on the right) has been laser-focused on building and retaining a diverse team where women are well represented with nearly a third in leadership positions. “When you bring very different schools of thought together it’s very powerful in terms of innovation,” she said. “Demonstrating that women can get to leadership positions [in the sector] has always been a priority in my career.” She herself is proof of that ambition as is her powerhouse team. “I feel fortunate to be part of a company whose mission is to ‘empower women’ and I am proud to be part of Tech team led by a female CTO who embraces all kinds of diversity,” noted Sangeeta Verma , Senior Director of Customer Experience Technology. #womenintech #teamtory

To celebrate the opening of our pop-up at ZOZOVILLA, Japan’s luxury online shopping destination, we created an exclusive campaign, A Japanese Summer, featuring our new limited-edition capsule collection. “Tory Burch X Zozo is an exciting initiative for Tory Burch Japan and an opportunity to inspire customers with our collections, starting with our summer capsule,” said Edouard Roche, President and Representative Director, Tory Burch Japan. Shot in Tokyo, this video evokes the spirit of the season in Japan from shaved ice to sandals. The rabbit’s out of the hat in Paris where earlier this month we introduced a new concept space at our boutique on Rue Saint-Honoré featuring the work of German photographer Walter Schels, whose animal portraits appeared in our Resort 2024 collection. Beginning last month and continuing through September, a large-scale image of Schels’s portrait of a bunny repeats along the exterior of our store, while the cat’s out of the bag throughout the interior: an image of Schels’s portrait of a cat, mid-meow, recurs along the walls of the front room on the ground floor and continues on the mezzanine. Bringing a touch of Los Angeles and Shanghai to Paris, the space nods to our concept stores on L.A.’s iconic Melrose Avenue and at Shanghai’s Kerry Centre. #toryburchparis #toryburchanimalhouse

We recently unveiled our distinctive “Destination Anywhere” pop-up concept traveling to three luxury department stores in Japan. The voyage began at Shinjuku Isetan The Stage in Tokyo earlier this month and continues at HankyuUmeda Cotocoto Stage11 (June 19 - June 25) with the final stop at Iwataya KIRAMEKI BOARD (July 3 - July 9). Wrapped in a bold take on the zebra pattern, each location is distinguished by immense, maze-like T sculptures covered in a zebra pattern — no two stripes are alike — in a soft shade of blue and features our summer capsule collection. Inspired by Tory’s love of travel, passed down by her elegant parents who traversed the globe in the ‘60s and ‘70s, the “Destination Anywhere” concept is a celebration of the season and the beauty of the journey. #destinationanywhere

We’re thrilled to welcome this year’s summer interns! Our 2024 cohort — 47 strong — includes students from colleges in the United States and internationally as well as five people from our Tory Burch retail stores. The group will be spending 10 weeks in our New York corporate offices learning about our business while getting great on-the-job experience in departments across the company. Tory Burch, CEO Pierre-Yves Roussel and Chief Legal Officer and President of Corporate Development Robert Isen welcomed the group on their first day and shared some advice for making the most of their experience. “Internships are a great opportunity to try things,” said Tory, recalling an internship she did at Christie’s in the Chinese Art department. An art history major at the University of Pennsylvania, she had been intent on pursuing a career in the art world. Then, after graduating, she was offered a job as an assistant to the fashion designer Zoran. “I ended up falling in love with it,” she said, “You just never know your course. You have to be open to new ideas and new ways of thinking.” Words of wisdom for all the interns out there. Here’s to an amazing summer of learning new skills, meeting new people and gaining invaluable experience that will serve you well into the future! #teamtory #summerinterns
