    This week we celebrate Dounya M.'s birthday by shedding some light on her personal and professional background. 1. How do you build and maintain strong relationships with candidates to ensure a successful recruitment process? DM: "I take my time to get to know the candidate and ensure they know that we are partners. I am available any time of the day if they need me. I prioritize communication, transparency, and empathy with my candidates. Actively listening to their needs and concerns, providing regular updates, and offering genuine support throughout the process, all helps separate me from many others who recruit. It's all about fostering trust and building genuine rapport." 2. In your opinion, what are the most effective strategies for sourcing top talent in competitive industries? DM: "In competitive industries such as logistics and freight brokerage, sourcing top talent requires a multifaceted approach. While traditional methods like job postings and referral programs are valuable, I believe in leveraging the technology provided to identify passive candidates. My goal for this year is to attend networking events, industry conferences, and making further connections on social media platforms to help assist me in connecting with potential candidates who may not be actively seeking new opportunities." 3. Travel anywhere in the world, all expenses paid, where would you go? DM: "I would choose to explore the wider Arab Middle East region. Not only is this where all of my ancestors hail from, but it's also where my grandparents have homes, adding a deeply personal connection to the journey. From visiting ancient historical sites like Petra in Jordan to sampling the delicious food in cities like Jerusalem and Beirut. I think it would be an incredibly meaningful experience for me." 4. Hobby that you've always wanted to learn but haven't tried yet? DM: "Content creation...particularly in personalizing belongings and creating cards and stickers. The idea of combining creativity with technology to design and personalize accessories has always intrigued me!"
