TLCBD leadership is proud to support San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) in the the Larkin Street Quick-Build Project, extending from Market Street to Sutter Street in the Tenderloin. This corridor is part of the High-Injury Network, which comprises 12% of streets but accounts for 68% of the city’s severe and fatal traffic injuries. The project aims to implement quick and effective design recommendations to improve traffic safety for pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, and drivers. The proposed timeline, from planning and outreach to construction, is eight months (May 2024 – December 2024). This initiative builds on the existing network of street safety improvements in the Tenderloin, reinforcing TLCBD’s commitment to creating safer streets for all. https://lnkd.in/g5bQ_7VM

Leading the evolution of the Tenderloin into a vibrant community for ALL!
About us
The Tenderloin Community Benefit District (TLCBD) works relentlessly to provide a clean and safe environment. Strong community partnerships and supportive collaboration with city agencies will create positive change in the Tenderloin neighborhood. Organization services are focused on implementing neighborhood improvements around the physical environment, economic development, and neighborhood pride. Starting in 2005 a non-profit 501c3 was established collaboratively by community leaders and property owners. The city and neighborhood adopted the TLCBD management plan to work towards a mission of neighborhood improvement for all within the district boundaries. A Board of Directors, made up of Tenderloin property owners, residents, business owners and other stakeholders oversees the management of the TLCBD. The full-time management team leads the day-to-day operations of TLCBD initiatives and programs including: maintenance and safe passage of our streets, coordination with City agencies, interaction with our valued residents, and business support services. Our Clean Team also ensures a positive experience for visitors and residents.
