Team Timberland invited kids, grand-kids, nieces and nephews, spouses, partners (and even a few pups) to our New Hampshire headquarters for a day of boot-themed art, special treats and a performance from King Kyote, a Maine-based musical artist. We opened our doors to the children of Timberland with experiences like a prototyping facility tour, CNSTNT DVLPMNT design sessions and a touch of community service, giving back to long-time service partner Girls at Work, Inc. This summer, we hosted 15 students from The Fashion Scholarship Fund’s Community College Scholars program at our Herald Square store. Fashion Scholarship Fund (FSF) is dedicated to supporting and nurturing the future of fashion. And The VF Foundation's long-time support of FSF to advance broader inclusion in the fashion and retail talent pipeline gave our team the opportunity to share their personal career journeys and showcase a day in the life at Timberland. The FSF Community College Immersive Program brings more non-traditional students into the fold to expose them to a wealth of new knowledge, with some Timberland gear to take home. Now in its third year, the Community College Scholars Program includes students from seven community colleges across the country: Bronx Community College, El Camino College, Hocking College, Hostos Community College, North Shore Community College, Saddleback College, and Tarrant County College. Louis Vuitton has set a date for the release of its eagerly awaited collaboration with Timberland. The shoes are set to pre-launch on July 18 on the brand’s website and the LV app via a dedicated landing page, and will be available in stores worldwide on Aug. 8, the French fashion house said Tuesday. The collaboration was unveiled by menswear creative director Pharrell Williams in January as part of his Western-themed fall collection. It will mark the first release of Vuitton’s interpretation of the original Timberland. Timberland associates across the globe served over one thousand volunteer hours during Earth Month this year, with environmentally focused projects ranging from community garden installations to beach clean-ups to local park enhancements. Our Path of Service program gives employees up to 40 hours of paid time to serve in their community, whether it’s a company-sponsored event or something that speaks to a personal passion. Nina Flood (Campo), the global brand president of Timberland, has worn a number of hats in her more than 20-year career at VF Corporation. After spending a decade in marketing and public relations at Guess, she started at VF in a similar role for Nautica. Her first presidential position was at Kipling, followed by Eastpak and JanSport. She joined Timberland as vice president and general manager of the company’s European region before being elevated to the top post at the brand at the end of last year. Flood is one of several female leaders featured in FN's June 3 print issue as part of the “Women Who Rock” special section. On June 5, FN and Two Ten Footwear Foundation will honor these women at a live event in New York City.
