Ticker Markets is an investment platform that serves as a pipeline between venture capital funds and lower cost LPs. We provide liquidity opportunities for LPs of the larger venture fund, and redistribute the equity through lower cost tradable shares on our marketplace. We aim to make private investments safer, more liquid, and more accessible. After months of hard work by our team, we are excited to announce Dovetail: options and derivatives for venture fund LPs. Venture fund liquidity has become a rising concern. And with LPs desiring new mechanisms for divesting their fund assets, no part of the secondary market has risen to meet their needs. Especially outside of institutional capital. Transactions are onerous and difficult. But what if, instead of going through the haul of a full secondary, LPs could take out liquidity on a single fund portfolio interest? That way, they could create some near-term cash flow without loosing access to their whole portfolio (and potentially straining their GP relationship). That's why we build Dovetail. Our novel systems allow for LPs to sell options on the future upside of individual portfolio positions. Effectively enabling them to exit when they choose, and manage their cash flow as needed.
