✨ Feeling grateful for the opportunity to spend time at our flagship clinic in Belize with Therapy Adventures International this week. I had the honor of being the Fieldwork Educator to 12 amazing Level 1 students from Pacific University who were able to challenge themselves and build confidence as they worked with students in the only Special Education school in the country. They demonstrated compassion, flexibility and patience and I am so thankful to have shared this experience along side them. Limited access to resources, lack of service providers and inconsistent care are only a glimpse of the challenges we observed this week. Eager to share the knowledge I gathered with my team in Chicago to brainstorm how we can contribute to making a significant impact in supporting special education and delivering consistent and quality occupational therapy to the children of Belize in the future.
