Full-time Global CCO @ gotham, ex R/GA US CCO, MAL, D5. Part-Time Traveler. Sometime Witch. 2023 Cannes Lion Jury President | 2022 Fast Co Most Creative | 2021 AdWeek 100 | 2023 AdAge CCO of The Year | Oldest Daughter

What started as a humorous lament re: merit cycles between CCOs became a real, raw, and fun reality check on what it takes to rise in our industry for the next generation at this years Where Are All The Black People con with The One Club for Creativity last week. Kaleeta McDade and I wanted to create a space that cut through “inspiration” and got down to business on what separates the stars from the rank and file, how to get there, and how to effectively ask for what you need to stay there. In all a good way to close out two days of brilliance. What Adrienne L. Lucas, J.D. is spearheading with Yash Egami and Kevin Swanepoel, Molly Crossin, Eunice A., and Adam Izen, Jimmy and the entire OC crew and board is so special. Thank you so much for having us! A special thank you to our colleagues, mentors and friends who contributed their wisdom: Amber Guild, Susan Credle, Kory Marchisotto, Harjot Singh, Tiffany Rolfe (she/her), Shayne Millington, and Greg Hahn. s/o to all the MGP and Bison fam in attendance!

    Brand at Delta Air Lines

This week, I attended The One Club for Creativity's Where Are All The Black People event in NY, and was blown away to see an entire generation of young black creatives doing what they know best: connecting with people, sharing their portfolios, their inclusive, welcoming and joyful vision of the world, and, of course, Tik Toks (best part!). At Delta Air Lines, we love connecting people to anything and anyone that matters to them, but mostly, to their potential. As the presenting partner of the event, our brand enabled many different connections to inspire these young talented people to keep dreaming, creating and climbing. Congratulations to all brief hackathon winners, thanks to the creators who covered the event (y'all know who you are since we are now connected) and shout out to the dream team working relentlessly to make this happen: Ryanna Beckham and Taniya Paylor who captained all things Delta ,Sharita Frazier, Valencia King, Brittany Snow and Ayana Noble for making us look and sound beautiful, Heather Howdeshell Morlock for always holding hands in everything we do, Josie Sturkey for being left and right hands for the entire squad, Maya Dukes for championing the vision that brought us here and to Nathan Smith for always being a place we can always come to for support, guidance and energy. And it got better: the one and only Andersen Cupid and Nik Reed joined Sharita, Tan and Brittany Gilzene, MBA (thanks for moderating!) in the "Very Mindful And Always Demure" panel that shared their vision and experiences navigating predominantly white corporate spaces. I've learned a lot and got emotional by hearing audience's needs, concerns and hopes. To the team at The One Club for Creativity: Yash Egami, Adrienne L. Lucas, J.D., Molly Crossin and everyone that made this event come to life: you should be proud about the work you do - saying it's purposeful and crafted with excellence is an understatement. Thanks for having Delta and our teams!
