The Meadows Psychiatric Center and the American Red Cross are hosting a blood drive on August 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at our facility located at 132 The Meadows Dr., Centre Hall. Please join our lifesaving mission and schedule an appointment today! The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every two to three seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime. Today, marks two years since the launch of the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The 988 Hotline has become a beacon of hope, providing a safe space for thousands of individuals seeking support and understanding. Conversations and texts with professionals are available 24/7.

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to share resources with nearly 250 veterans and their family members at the Veterans Resource Fair held in Butler, PA. Over 10 community service providers, along with multiple VA services and health screens were available at the event. It was a great occasion to honor those that have served our country.

Adolescent patients had the opportunity to explore feelings and emotional regulation with the characters of Inside Out. This lesson helped individuals identify and understand the role emotions play in our life and ways to manage a variety of feelings safely.
