The Leadership School

Co-Executive Directors Seymour and Moulder introduced The Leadership School to community partners. As we create a blueprint for academic success, we understand the importance of community collaboration.

Tomorrow is a BIG day for us, a day we’ve been preparing for since mid-February. When we set out to reimagine what education can look like for our students in North County, we knew that the most important thing we could do would be to put a team of talented and dedicated educators in front of our little leaders. Tomorrow we welcome 25 trail-blazing, change-makers to our team to begin the process of creating a blueprint for what education could and should look like for black and brown students in St. Louis. We have worked hard to prepare for this, but what matters more than anything else is that we have the right people on-board; a team that will do anything to ensure our students are prepared for a life of choice and opportunity. Let the countdown continue…19 days until the real magic begins with our little leaders.

Two more dynamic educators that TLS is proud to have serving our little leaders. Ms. J began teaching our babies this summer, and what a difference she was able to make in just 19 days! Our 2nd grades are going to have an amazing 24-25 school year. Mrs. Bell embodies love and empowerment in everything she does. Our students and teachers are lucky to have her!

Finding good STEM teachers can be a challenge. The 24-25 STEM teachers at TLS have an average of over 6 years of teaching experience, have taught in 4 different cities, and one has even taught internationally. Our little leaders are going to. be over the moon as they explore the wonders of science and mathematics.

Instructional STEM Director, Ms. Griffin is supporting families in the community with reimagining their educational options for the 24-25 school year! We are excited about the upcoming year.

Allow me to introduce you to two absolute gems that will be coming on board with The Leadership School this fall. Ms. Rhodes is an extremely talented art teacher with a passion for igniting creativity in young people. We are excited to have her, and to see our little leaders cultivate their creativity. Miss Kuehner is so passionate about providing ALL students with a high-quality educational experience. She comes to us with a wealth of experience and a track record of success. We are so luck to have her as our special education teacher and coordinator. Hayley Kuehner

Some of our amazing staff took a break from our hard work today to come together and build community over lunch. We are so inspired by the dedication of each and every staff member on our team!

The Leadership School is cultivating a love of reading and writing in our students. We are excited to announce two new positions the we have created for next year, and to introduce you to our Director of Humanities and our Reading Interventionist. Mrs. Maldonado and Ms. Radford are two phenomenal educators that bring a wealth of skill and experience to The Leadership School. We are lucky to have them!

1 month & 4 days until all of our babies get to meet their phenomenal lineup of teachers. Mrs. Buchannan and Ms. Miller are transformational teachers that you just have to see in action! Our Little Leaders are so lucky to have them in their corner!
