    What a year it has been! In 2023, The House of JOY chartered a new path forward – one that was centered on a simple mission advancing authentic joy by empowering purpose-driven brands to drive positive change . With that mission as our center of gravity, we launched forward to be more impactful than ever before.  One week ago, we celebrated with our faithful clients and our talented team an esteemed honor as we won a Silver Effie by Effie US for our 2023 Summer campaign, CROWN Proud. It's our first Effie, and as I look back at this year, it's been one of many incredible honors. We thank our amazing partners at Unilever and the Dove Brand team for their leadership (since 2018) in helping to end race-based hair discrimination nationwide. Purpose work matters today more than ever, and I am so proud of the work we have done in the past year; from BET's multifaceted "HBweCU" initiative and Visa's "card artwork" project to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention campaign, to the Ad Council Mental Health and AARP's grassroots engagement activations for the Black community, and the new Easterseals disability campaign that we are about to debut to celebrate Disability Pride. That's just a few, and all of it feels good, meaningful, and purposeful. I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with such powerful, passionate people, including the incredible team of professionals at The House of JOY.
