Understanding Cryogenic G10 Properties Cryogenic environments, with temperatures as low as -200°C, can cause standard composite materials to harden and become brittle, making them prone to damage. The Gund Company, a leading custom composites manufacturer, specializes in high-performance materials like cryogenic G10, which can withstand these extreme conditions. Cryogenic G10, a non-brominated continuous filament woven fiberglass sheet bonded with low-temperature epoxy resin, retains excellent electrical, mechanical, and physical properties from -270°C to 135°C. At the Gund Company, we don't just manufacture materials; we collaborate with engineers to design custom solutions that meet specific customer specifications. This includes next-gen composite materials and specialty components tailored for extreme cryogenic conditions, all aimed at serving the unique needs of the space exploration industry. Mold platen insulation is an insulator for the mold platen in a heated molding element. It is a barrier between the mold or dies and the platen to resist heat transfer. There are many different types of molding, but this insulation is most commonly used in injection molding, compression molding, thermoforming, and rubber mold machinery. Regardless of the system, this insulation must function correctly in an application. To ensure this insulation functions appropriately, two steps are required. The first step is to define properties that affect performance. The second step is to evaluate whether the material currently received is performing at an optimal level. Click the link to view the many properties that should be considered for your application: https://lnkd.in/g3NxiZGP #TheGundCompany #QualityAssurance #Insulation
