Happy October! As CAH enters the month of October, we proudly observe the start of National #Arts and #Humanities Month (NAHM) in the #UnitedStates. This important annual observance is a collective recognition of the importance of culture in #America. Since its establishment in 1993, it has been annually observed in the country with the ultimate aim of encouraging Americans to explore new facets of the arts and humanities and to begin a lifelong habit of participation in these fields. CAH cordially invites our followers to check out the following resource from our friends at the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA): https://lnkd.in/gQ6WMsB6. #TheDCArts #NAHM #NationalArtsAndHumanitiesMonth #ArtsAndHumanitiesMonth

Thank you to all who attended our DC Art Now Opening Reception last Friday as part of Art All Night DC! We're incredibly grateful to our key event partners, the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD), the Capitol Riverfront (BID) Business Improvement District, and Mayor Muriel Bowser, for helping to ensure our event's success last Friday, September 27th. The evening allowed our community to witness the finalists for #ArtBankProgram while also getting back to connect with several local DC-based vendors and artists. We want to take a moment to personally recognize the following exhibitors and cordially encourage you all to check them out in greater detail on their respective social media accounts: the Artistry of Ashley Joi, Coobaya, the DC Arts & Humanities Collaborative, Shelby & Alorie, It’s a Wrap Project, Katie Magician, Maggie Bobo, Rachel Hargreaves and Consider the Lillies! Furthermore, we were pleased to bring an all-star talented pool of #DC #artists and #entertainers who helped make the evening more memorable: Malik DOPE Drummer, Steelo Soul, Drew Anderson, B_X_R_N_X_R_D, Patience Sings, CaSh and Earle, Whiskey Girl, Aleyzza & Brooklyn the Kid, Miss Molly Dazzle, and DJ Amber Michal. Great to also enjoy some delicious treats courtesy of our friends from Wiseguy Pizza and Ice Cream Jubilee! Watch our IG reel here: https://lnkd.in/gtJ8W6VN Stay tuned for more content! #TheDCArts #ArtNightDC #WeAreDC
