Creating life-changing solutions for people in Northeast Ohio to lead healthier and more successful lives.

About us

Circle Health Services has merged with The Centers for Families and Children and are now known as The Centers. The Centers fights for equity by healing, teaching, and inspiring individuals to reach their full potential, ensuring communities are equitable, healthier, and prosperous. Our innovative 2Gen approach centers on the whole family to create a legacy of educational success and economic prosperity that passes from one generation to the next. Through this model, we integrate health and wellness services for children, teens, and adults, , including primary care, behavioral health care, addiction services, HIV treatment and in-house pharmacies. We also offer family support programs, including early childhood development, job training and workplace/workforce development. We are one of the oldest and largest health and human service agencies in Northeast Ohio, with 11 locations serving nearly 20,000 people each year.

Join us in welcoming Dawnya Underwood to The Centers as our new CCH Executive Director! With over twenty years of experience in social services and child welfare, Dawnya has collaborated with federal agencies, child welfare organizations, and state and local governments to support vulnerable populations, including justice-involved individuals, unhoused individuals and families, unaccompanied and separated children, and those affected by violence, systemic racism, and health inequities. A dynamic Chicago native, Dawnya holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Master’s degree in Social Work. She has traveled the world extensively, lived in Ethiopia, played college basketball, and is a super fan of The Golden Girls and loves pizza (not just Chicago style). We are grateful that she has chosen our great city of Cleveland and The Centers’ CCH as the next place where she will have the most impact, and we are excited to see the positive changes she will bring to our organization and community!

The Centers is excited to announce that we were awarded an expansion grant for our fidelity-certified, Intensive Home-Based Treatment (IHBT) program by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS). The IHBT program will serve at-risk out-of-home placement children and adolescents and their families in Cuyahoga County, specifically targeting the West, Centra,l and East communities. The expansion grant will allow the Centers to hire four (4) additional IHBT Therapists and serve approximately 128 children annually. The Centers will continue to partner with Case Western Reserve University’s (CWRU) Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (CABH COE) for staff IHBT training and continuous program improvement. Learn more about our IHBT program: https://lnkd.in/gC-J-e7Y
