Welcome to The Bullpen Foundation’s LinkedIn page! Our Foundation works alongside community park associations across Huntsville/ Madison County to identify opportunities to increase park participation and have a positive team experience for the kids in our community. Our mission is to help disadvantaged children play youth sports on a level playing field and provide impactful resources such as player financial scholarships, sports equipment, camps and clinics, and park volunteers. So many people in our community have been touched by sports at some point in their lives – as a player, a parent, or a coach. We believe that the connection between our business community and the recreational parks can be very meaningful and impactful to our youth. We are an IRS approved 501(c)3 organization and received our tax-exempt status in November of 2022. Our founding board members - Jason Landers (Keel Point) Chris Hanback (The Ventis Group), Matt Davis (Nova Bank - in organization), Amanda Ahmed (Keel Point) & Tony McGinnis (Huntsville Housing Authority). Please stay tuned for more updates from TBF and thank you for your support.

Strengthening Our Community Through Youth Sports
About us
The Bullpen Foundation is a non-profit organization in Huntsville focused on providing support to the experience of community-based youth athletic programs and leagues. Through a combination of resources (both financial resources and athletic equipment), training programs and events, and volunteers, The Bullpen Foundation seeks to make community/neighborhood recreational parks and leagues more vital and dynamic. The ultimate goal is to build on the experience of youth sports opportunities for all kids and families right in our own neighborhoods. Connection. An important element of The Bullpen Foundation model is to connect the Huntsville business community to this objective of reinvigorating and energizing our legacy/native youth parks and programs. Many successful local professionals spanning all ages have cherished memories playing and now coaching in youth athletics, but have also witnessed a gradual decline associated to participation in neighborhood parks. The lessons learned through those team sports experiences help form values, work ethic and teamwork, while providing relationships and memories that last a lifetime. One of The Bullpen Foundation’s main objectives is to minimize the barriers that some families face when it comes to participating in youth sports programs.

Great article by Mike Easterling regarding Homers for Hope. It’s not too late to join the cause! https://lnkd.in/djkTv-8z

At last weekend’s American Heart Association - Alabama Heart Ball, The Bullpen Foundation was the beneficiary of “Ball for All”. This initiative was to encourage kids to get out and exercise for 80 minutes per day to care for their whole-body and mental health. We received hundreds of balls, from soccer balls to footballs to basketballs. Over the past few days, we have been delivering these to the kids in our community. Thank you to AHA-Alabama for including us in this initiative!

Well, our 2024 Bullpen Foundation Kickball Tournament is in the books. The weather could not have been more perfect, and the competition was intense! Thank you to our sponsors, Huntsville Hospital Sports Center, TOC-The Orthopaedic Center, Keel Point, ServisFirst Bank, The Ventis Group, Womble Bond Dickinson US LLP, Bentley Buick GMC, Huntsville Housing Authority, Twickenham Advisors, and Huntsville Police Department. Thank you to Randolph School for once again hosting our event on their campus. Our core mission is to help low-income families navigate the costs of youth sports by providing equipment and financial support. We also work alongside the rec parks in our community. The proceeds from this event will make a big difference in supporting this mission. Thank you again to all of the teams, sponsors, and volunteers! Enjoy the pics from Saturday.

We are less than two weeks away from our kickball fundraiser at Randolph High School. Shout out to two more of our corporate sponsors - Rich Raleigh and Chris Lockwood of Womble Bond Dickinson, and Gary Pope, Realtor® Amanda Howard Sotheby’s International Realty. Thank you to these two organizations for your support. Best of luck to your teams!
