This massive 1,300-acre redevelopment will become The Bellwether District, creating thousands of jobs across sustainably built innovation and logistics facilities. Today is #WorldEnvironmentDay and this year’s theme is #GenerationRestoration. Restoration is a key component of HRP Group redevelopment projects and we are honored to partner with organizations that share the mission of rebuilding and reintegrating natural landscapes in our communities. The Southwest Tree Coalition by Bartram's Garden works to restore the presence of trees in urban areas. The presence of trees in a community improves environmental health, physical health, and mental health. Through our two-year partnership we are committed to planting up to 200 trees throughout Southwest Philadelphia to expand the urban tree canopy, in addition to the 10,000 trees we have committed to plant at The Bellwether District.
