  • Happy summer! Public Policy and Legislative Issues Committee (PPLI) here to keep you updated on important state and federal legislation affecting student conduct. If you're not familiar, PPLI is primarily tasked with the tracking of state and federal case law and legislation surrounding student conduct issues, and periodically notifying ASCA members of any significant updates. This tracking is possible due to our wonderful PPLI Tracking Team who track and report these case law decisions and legislation from their assigned regions. With the constant changes we all face with complying with state and federal case law decisions and legislative changes, PPLI’s duties become more and more important each year as we continue to meet the need of ASCA members. Our responsibilities have grown to include creating and presenting webinars on timely legal issues, updating resources like the Grassroots Advocacy Guide, Due Process Resources, and First Amendment Resources, and hosting "Legislative Chats" to discuss compliance tips and challenges. We are actively seeking new members to join our monthly meetings, subcommittees, and be part of our important Tracking Team to help report critical changes. If you're interested, please sign up through your ASCA Member Portal or contact Kristi Patrickus at [email protected] for more information.

  • Small contributions make a big impact! Celebrate summer by donating $5 or $10 today to the Raymond H. Goldstone ASCA Foundation. Did you know a $5 donation from just 12% of ASCA’s members will raise enough funds for one Gehring Academy registration scholarship? We have raised more than $10,000 since the beginning of 2024. To learn more about the Raymond H. Goldstone ASCA Foundation and hear from past scholarship recipients, visit our website. Let’s keep the momentum going all summer long to strengthen ASCA’s mission of supporting professionals in student conduct! Click here to donate: https://buff.ly/45jcoRZ
