#BUTTER Fine Art Fair is coming back to the Stutz this Labor Day! Tickets are on sale now: www.butterartfair.com. Organized by Indianapolis-based GANGGANG, BUTTER is North America’s equitable fine art fair showcasing the contemporary work of 50 Black visual artists from Indiana and across the country. Since hosting the first BUTTER at the Stutz in 2021, the art fair has welcomed 32,000 attendees. Dedicated to transforming artists’ mindsets and careers, BUTTER has maximized the earnings of Black visual artists by giving 100% of sale proceeds back to the artists. We are proud to be hosting this impactful cultural event at the Stutz for the fourth year in a row and for our continued partnership with GANG GANG in supporting this incredible event. Last week, Indianapolis hosted the All-Star game and the Stutz was a whirlwind of activity! From a PATTERN Valentine's Day photo booth, to Paint & Sip with Boxx the Artist, yoga sessions to the Six Ways Market on Third Thursday, the energy was electric. Hosting notable guests like Puma, Baron Davis, and Ars Mag added to the excitement, alongside pop-ups by WDRFA, ArtbyFitz, and Saint Ave. And let's not forget the surprise performance at Turner's by Naughty by Nature (https://lnkd.in/gYw2FZyZ)!! 🏎️🏁 A Historic Day at the Stutz Museum with Indy 500 Winner Josef Newgarden! 🏆 Yesterday, the Stutz Museum had the distinct honor of hosting an extraordinary event featuring the 2023 Indianapolis 500 champion, Josef Newgarden. The highlight of this prestigious gathering was the unveiling of Josef's likeness on the iconic Borg-Warner Trophy, a momentous occasion that marks his incredible victory at the Indianapolis 500. The Stutz Museum, nestled in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, became the perfect backdrop for this event. Our boutique car museum, which celebrates the rich automotive history of Indianapolis alongside rare classic cars, provided an ideal setting for the unveiling. The ceremony highlighted the intricate and awe-inspiring process behind the creation of Josef's sterling silver bas-relief image, the 110th face to adorn the Borg-Warner Trophy since 1936. The incredible craftsmanship of renowned sculptor Will Behrends was on full display, showcasing the meticulous journey from 360-degree photographs to the final sterling silver masterpiece. We extend our heartiest congratulations to Josef Newgarden and Team Penske for their outstanding achievement. It was a privilege to witness the union of motorsport history and artistry at our museum. A special thanks to Michelle Collins from BorgWarner for the honor of revealing Josef’s image on the trophy, further solidifying his place in the annals of racing history. A special shoutout to Barista Parlor LLC, a tenant at the Stutz building, who delighted attendees with some fun goodies - we're thrilled to have them as a part of the Stutz family.
