Sky Factory, a fine art and digital technology company, creates biophilic illusions of nature™, virtual skylights and windows, that create a palpable feeling of expansion in enclosed interiors. Sky Factory's unique Open Skies Image Technology has been studied by Texas Tech's Neuro-imaging Institute, earning recognition by the Design & Health International Academy for the Best International Research Project of 2014. Sky Factory's signature product, the Luminous SkyCeiling™ (virtual skylight) also earned the Jury Award at the 2014 Archtiizer A Awards for Best Product. Sky Factory's suite of products include the Revelation SkyCeiling™, the Personal Revelation SkyCeling™, and Luminous Virtual Windows™ (virtual windows), all of which are architectural installations that trigger a genuine psycho-physiological relaxation response in observers. Fortunate to have visited the Sky Factory showroom this morning at SSM Health - Depaul - alongside my friend (and official SkyMobile Ambassador) Rebecca Clemens! I've been drawn to their LED #virtualskylights, #windows, and other ceiling applications (some in-conjunction with Armstrong Ceiling Solutions US) since my time with The Resource Center @ AIA St. Louis. Particularly for inviting #healthcare spaces, #SkyFactory is an excellent way to compliment both your entry and more narrow spaces absent of natural light!

Grants like the Manufacturing 4.0 Grant from the Iowa Economic Development Authority allow Sky Factory to continually innovate, increase productivity, and maintain quality all while keeping jobs in Iowa. We are grateful to IEDA for their continued support.
The sky's the limit for manufacturers in Iowa! Bill Witherspoon's dream to make orthodontal experiences more enjoyable for his kids led to the founding of Sky Factory – the only research-verified virtual skylights manufacturer in the world. Founded in 2002, the family-owned company started out creating printed ceiling tiles.
