Wow! What a beautiful day to break ground on our Family Services Center! The Salvation Army Southern Nevada Advisory Board Chair Ricky Gourrier welcomed our community partners, City of North Las Vegas and Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown, who proclaimed today The Salvation Army Day, along with congressional commendations from Sen. Senator Jacky Rosen and Congresswoman Dina Titus to celebrate the lives that will be changed for GOOD at our new center! Lt Col ivan wild, The Salvation Army Southwest Division, Divisional Commander prayed over the dedication, Major Magaly Laubach served as master of ceremonies, and we were able to bless the residents of our Silvercrest Senior Residence with food baskets and tours of The Salvation Army Southwest EDS canteen. We are incredibly grateful for our generous donors who made today possible and we can't wait to see what God is going to do here for our Valley's neighbors in need! The Las Vegas Area Council - Boy Scouts of America has had a long-standing tradition of helping those in need. Partnering for over 30 years with the Salvation Army, Scouting for Food allows Scouts of all ages to collect food for those in need. https://lnkd.in/gKPviA5r

This week we had volunteers who traveled 5,600 miles to volunteer in our kitchen! Thank you so much to ServiceNow for covering two shifts on our Owens Campus.
