Wonderful event last night! The Rekindle World Cafe was a huge success, with 40 community members coming out for a taste of Rekindle. This evening of Black-Jewish dialogue left all the participants motivated, inspired, and encouraged that what unites us is far greater than what divides us. Hugh thanks to the Phase 2 Fellows who planned the event, and to the The George Gund Foundation for funding this ongoing leadership program for Rekindle alumni! Thanks to the amazing Rekindlers that planned the event: Harriette Watford Lowenthal (she/her), Jon Steiger, Carasai Ihentuge, and Yvetta Eley. Huge thanks as well to DJAPO CULTURAL ARTS INSTITUTE INC for leading us in moving dance and stories, and EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute for hosting 🙏 It was an inspiring morning for everyone involved!
