"A northeast Ohio program designed to help young people from other countries adjust to their new home is now helping them document their experiences. Corner65's media club is youth-led and inspired by one member in particular." https://lnkd.in/efh_Yp-N

Empowering resettled families to grow roots in their new communities.
About us
The Refugee Response was established in 2010 to assist in bridging the gap between existing resettlement agency services and the longer support needs of the refugee population. Our organization’s goals and objectives revolve around being responsive to the needs of northeast Ohio’s refugee community in order to forge a deep and sustaining impact on resettled refugees as they make new roots and re-write the story of their families’ futures to one of freedom from persecution and finding security and self-sufficiency. The organization’s programs are critical to both the short- and long-term economic success and the social and emotional acculturation of these Northeast Ohio community members.

Dear friends of The Refugee Response! We are already a month into a new year with our new name, Re:Source Cleveland. We've appreciated all the support from our community as The Refugee Response, and have loved the overwhelming support for our new identity and continued work. Please take some time to follow our new LinkedIn page to stay up to date on all of our announcements and new initiatives, like the newly announced Roundstone Pavilion at the Ohio City Farm! The Roundstone Pavilion at Ohio City Farm will include crucial infrastructure for our farm team, such as indoor bathrooms, indoor facilities for prepping the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares, a fully operational commercial kitchen for local chefs and food entrepreneurs as well as a new farm store for selling the farm’s produce and other items from local and international newcomer producers. This important and exciting project is also funded in part by The George Gund Foundation, Cuyahoga County, and many individual donors. We’d like to say a big thank you to our foundation and public partners, and to the many individual supporters who are helping us bring this building to life. Don’t forget to sign up for your 2024 Ohio City Farm CSA share! Registration is open: https://lnkd.in/gZHG-Pnz

A dream come true! Our Teen Response student, Morsheda, graduated from John Marshall School of Engineering early, and is heading to Cuyahoga Community College! Morsheda came to Cleveland from Syria with her family a year ago, and thanks to the support of our John Marshall Re:Source Cleveland team she is on her way to college!

We are wrapping up our 2023 Annual Appeal campaign, which was focused on the new building at Ohio City Farm. Thank you so much to everyone who supported us. We received very generous individual, organizational, and corporate support as well as some new sustaining monthly donors! You all have helped us make significant progress towards our goal and we will have some exciting news to share in the next few months around the new building. Thank you, thank you!

Seniors are making important decisions in our Teen Response program, top of the list is where to go to college. This group of seniors from Valley Forge High School and Normandy High School in Parma toured the campus of CSU and learned about admission requirements. We have some future CSU Vikings in this amazing group!
