The 2024 Bronx Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Circle Legislative Breakfast was a resounding success, bringing together Bronx Chamber Chairman’s Circle and Corporate Supporter members along with our Board of Directors in an intimate setting, with direct access to elected officials representing the Bronx at the city and state levels. This event is hosted by the Chamber annually to create a platform for discussion and interaction centering on important legislative issues regarding Bronx business interests and priorities. This year the breakfast was held at the Bronx Zoo Schiff Family Great Hall, with welcome remarks from Chamber President Lisa Sorin and Chairman Anthony Mormile, along with Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson and longtime Chamber Board member John Calvelli of the Bronx Zoo who served as master of ceremonies. The Chamber was thrilled to feature John “Janno” Lieber, President of the MTA, as breakfast’s Keynote Speaker, who highlighted the progress of the Bronx Metro-North Station Area Plan process and recent approvals, along with a number of opportunities and challenges pertaining to public transit and other commuter interests in our borough.
