East Cambridge Savings Bank is thrilled to announce a $20,000 donation to The Neighborhood Developers (TND), a Chelsea-based nonprofit organization that preserves and builds affordable housing. Since April, TND has been raising funds for their annual spring appeal, and the bank committed to matching all donations up to $20,000. All funds raised support the organization’s efforts to provide affordable housing and opportunities for those who need it most. “It is an honor to support The Neighborhood Developers, an organization that is truly on the front lines of making places like Chelsea a welcoming community where all have access to affordable, safe, and healthy housing,” said Timothy E. We are thrilled and honored to announce that our organization has been awarded Community Investment Tax Credits (CITC) by the Office of Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey and Kim Driscoll Administration. This incredible support will empower us to continue driving impactful change within our community. TND works every day to expand the inventory of affordable homes in Chelsea, Revere, and Everett. The Community Investment Tax Credit allows our donors to do more and therefore fuels our ability to achieve greater impact. This program is a win-win for the Commonwealth and our cities. We are grateful for our 2024 CITC award and thank the Commonwealth for this support. Learn more about the announcement here: https://lnkd.in/eN88ra37

For the past year, Jake Hogan has been a phenomenal addition to the CONNECT team through the NeighborWorks America VISTA Program. Today is Jake's last day at TND as he embarks on a new journey as a paralegal at a civil rights law firm in Washington, DC. We’re thrilled for him and confident his amazing talents will shine there. Jake's work has been incredible—from developing a green jobs strategy for the Chelsea Good Jobs Coalition to training our CONNECT team on using AI for resume creation. His contributions have significantly increased our capacity, and his willingness to help with anything will be greatly missed. On behalf of TND and the NeighborWorks America VISTA Program, thank you, Jake, for your dedication and outstanding contributions. Good luck in DC! You'll be missed.
