To know Christ, make Him known, and help others do the same®

About us

The Navigators is an international, interdenominational Christian ministry established in 1933 as an outreach for followers of Jesus Christ to help others come to know and grow in Him as they navigate through life – a goal embodied by The Navigators motto, “To Know Christ, make Him known, and help others do the same®” Navigators are characterized by an eagerness to introduce Jesus to those who don't know Him, a passion to see those who do know Jesus deepen their relationship with Him, and a commitment to training Jesus followers to continue this nurturing process among the people they know. We are a community of hundreds of thousands of everyday people who impact others for God's glory in our normal pathways of life where we study, live, work, and play. We spread the Good News of Jesus Christ by establishing Life-to-Life® mentoring—or discipling—relationships with people, equipping them to make an impact on those around them for God's glory. Today, the Navigator staff family – nearly 5,000 strong – spans 70 different nationalities, 130 languages, and individuals from every heritage and life experience. The Navigator family also includes those who work alongside and support our staff, whose hearts beat with our same passion to Know Christ, make Him known, and help others do the same™.

Have you ever considered praying through fasting? Through fasting, we can humble ourselves to seek God in new ways, partnering with Him by putting our focus purely on Him and prayer for a dedicated period of time. During these times, we can see God move in powerful ways, whether through answering our questions or requests or by deepening our relationship with Him. Are you curious how fasting can be implemented in your prayer life? Check out Navigator Alice Matagora's personal story in her article, "Seeking Answers Through Fasting and Prayer": https://navs.me/3zKx8q5 #EquippingDisciples #QuietTime #QuietTimeWithGod #SpiritualGrowth #PrayerTip

For Deborah*, a woman in Burundi who is building up her community through Navigators D4D training, this looks like serving her family and friends and passing on what she has learned to nearby villages. “I have experienced transformation in my family and in the church,” she says. When Doug Heric switched careers to become a police officer, he felt disconnected from his church and faith. He found himself growing cynical and distant, unable to find time for God under the demands of his taxing schedule. However, when Navigator Chris Green started discipling him by meeting him where he was, he started to refocus his faith. “He would come on ride alongs with me, and he would meet me at times when church doesn’t happen,” Doug recalls. “And I saw that working in my life. It worked for me, and I wanted to do that kind of ministry for others.” Now on staff with The Navigators, Doug uses his past experience to connect with first responders and share the gospel with them. Across Seattle and the United States, Doug and his wife, Christine, have created disciplemaking communities of first responders, and they’ve seen the Lord work in powerful ways. Read more about the Herics’ story and ministry, and learn how the Lord is using first responders like Doug to spread His kingdom by visiting: navs.me/4ezbrJk #WorkplaceMinistry #ChristianWorkplace #Leadership #FaithAtWork
