“There is always a story for the business,” says David Niehoff, First Vice President & Manager of Business Banking at The National Bank of Indianapolis. In his 27 years at the Bank, it is the stories he helps tell that inspire him. After getting his degree in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University, Dave got into the banking industry and started his career at The National Bank of Indianapolis shortly after the Bank was founded. What drove his work was curiosity to learn about his clients’ businesses and seeing their sometimes crazy plans come to fruition. Dave recalls helping one client establish a small line of credit that helped the client grow his business to revenues exceeding $100 million. His curiosity and passion for his clients’ success continues to this day. Dave’s banking experience would not be complete without his story of working with a different type of bank: Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana.
