The National Association of Marine Surveyors (NAMSGlobal), established in 1962, is a professional organization that certifies marine surveyors and provides continuing education opportunities. NAMSGlobal’s membership is international and its Certified Marine Surveyor members carry the NAMS-CMS designation after their names. From pleasure boats & yachts to commercial ships, NAMSGlobal marine surveyor members survey new and used vessels to determine their condition and value. NAMSGlobal surveyor members also survey cargo, machinery, docks, wharfs, marinas, and handling equipment related to the marine industry. Additionally, NAMSGlobal marine surveyor members investigate marine claims and act as expert trial witnesses. The National Association of Marine Surveyors (NAMS) is now offering certification in Marine Warranty Surveying (MWS). A Certified NAMS marine warranty surveyor provides independent third-party technical review and approval of high-value and high-risk marine construction and transportation project operations. Marine Warranty Surveyors work with insurers and clients and contractors to insure that the policy warranties are complied with and that the high value and risk transportation projects are completed without incident. We had 80 attendees and 16 wives attend our 61st National Conference. It was two days of education in Cargo, Hull and Machinery, Yachts and Small Craft, Fishing Vessels and Ethics. We thank our speakers, attendees and all who help but the event together to make it a great success. We also want to thank our sponsors and exhibitors of the event for always supporting us. We couldn't do it without everyone working together.
