About us
At The Learning Lamp, our mission is to engage all children with the support they need to succeed in school. We believe success in the classroom is the foundation for success in life—and that no child should go without the opportunity to reach his or her full potential. Founded in 2003, with a single program, one-to-one tutoring, The Learning Lamp now serves thousands of children each year by working together with families and schools to meet the needs of students.

This week's Employee Spotlight features Adele Madera, a long-time tutor and part of The Learning Lamp To Go Program! Adele started working at The Learning Lamp soon after it opened and shares, "Tutoring is the best job I could ever imagine! I love working one-on-one with the kids who really need help!" For those considering joining the team, Adele advises, "I would encourage anyone to work with students through The Learning Lamp because it is so rewarding! Even if you can only give an hour or two a week, you can tutor a student and make a difference in their life!" Thank you, Adele, for your dedication.
