Where ideas to stop vascular disease become groundbreaking realities.

About us

At the Jacobs Institute, we’re reinventing the way vascular disease research, prevention, and treatment has always been done. By breaking down the barriers between clinical experts, engineers, regulators, students, patients, and researchers, we harness the power of collaboration to create pioneering technologies and get new ideas out of the lab and into the hands of the people who need them most. We believe when the best minds in the industry work together, we can inspire a new standard of care for patients, a more efficient way to innovate, and a holistic vision for health. We believe, together, we can significantly reduce the devastating impact of vascular disease — and save thousands of lives. Join our network of professionals driving change in the medical field.

That’s a wrap on our 2024 high school internship program!✨ Our JI high school interns have learned so much about STEM and healthcare career pathways and opportunities in Buffalo. Today, they presented the projects they have been working on for the past two weeks to create a plan to help stroke survivors and care givers navigate the pathways of a stroke survivor. We were truly impressed by the resources they created from rehabilitation centers to post-stroke apps and websites. This program is only possible because of the generosity of private donations. We have a fundraiser coming up the week of August 5th to help expand this program and break down more access barriers for high school students in WNY. Stayed tuned the next two weeks for more information on how you can support this amazing program. #Interns #JacobsInstitute #STEM

Today is GBM Awareness Day. GBM is one of the most complex, deadly, and treatment-resistant cancers. I never expected to be part of a community where I would be helping in the fight against such a deadly disease. My late husband was not as fortunate as some of our amazing #gbm survivors/thrivers. He only had 14 months from diagnosis. He was 44. There are truly ground breaking treatments and research currently taking place to help change the narrative of this deadly disease. Join us in this fight by supporting work from Lenox Hill Hospital (brain tumor center), GT Medical Technologies, Inc. It's an invite-only, multidisciplinary annual meeting committed to a dynamic, honest, and open discussion of complications related to the microsurgical and endovascular management of complex cerebrovascular pathology. Hosted by the #JacobsInstitute in Jackson Hole, WY each year, we come to expect brilliant discussions and collegial connections at this event. Here are some photos of the 3C Meeting this year!
