It's nearly been a year since *Freeing Self: IFS Beyond the Therapy Room* (co-edited by Helen Foot PMP® and Emma E. Redfern) was published. Here's how the founder Richard C. Schwartz, PhD, responded: "In the past decade my dream has been to expand IFS beyond the confines of psychotherapy and bring it to other fields, issues, and marginalized populations. I feel so blessed that the editors and authors of this wonderful book are playing a big role in making that dream come true by inspiring others to bring Self-energy to areas outside the therapy room." Liz Martins, MSc, IFS Institute Solo Lead trainer gave this endorsement: "With IFS as the central core ingredient, Helen and Emma have put together a rich and varied feast that inspires and intrigues. This book is a celebration of the versatility and universality of the IFS model and stands also as a testimony to the heart, passion, and creativity of the chapter authors who generously share their stories and ideas about applying IFS beyond the therapy room. There's much here for anyone interested in IFS to savor and enjoy." If you'd like to learn more about the book, Emma joined Karin Brauner for an Author's Corner presentation where we introduced the book via book excerpts, audio clips, and more (link to purchase the recording in the comments). For those of you who like something more visual, here is a fabulous book trailer to watch and listen to, produced by Karin. Follow Emma Redfern Psychotherapy Professional on LinkedIn for more posts about the book this month of its 1st birthday 🎉 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ #InternalFamilySystems author and editor | Articles | #Workshops | #Supervision Consultation | Co-host of Podcast Purely IFS with Emma and Gayle
