About us
The Donnell-Kay Foundation aims to improve public education in Colorado through research, policy, creative dialogue, and critical thinking. We invest in projects, programs, and people who seek systemic solutions to strengthening the experience of learning for kids from birth to career. The Donnell-Kay Foundation is a private family foundation incorporated in 1965 through a trust by the Kay family. Today, our office is located in the historic Equitable Building on the corner of 17th & Stout in downtown Denver. DK operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and invests $1 million annually in people, projects, and programs. If you are seeking grant funding, please invite us to a conversation about your work or share a concept paper.
