    Davis today announced that it has expanded its capital base by $977.1 million amid the industry’s most challenging fundraising cycle in more than a decade.     Davis recently celebrated the topping off of our 97-unit multifamily project with GC, Broadway Construction Group, LLC at 1975 Madison in Harlem, NYC. Designed by DXA Studio, the eight-story building will house one and two-bedroom units, and approximately 30 affordable residences. Amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, resident lounge, coworking space, pet spa and a gorgeous rooftop terrace. The building also features a 2,500 SF community center located on the ground floor currently available for lease. Completion is slated for late 2025. The topping off of this project represents an exciting milestone in the redevelopment and we are extremely proud of the hard work of our construction team and of the collaborative process that made this project possible. #ToppingOff #HarlemMultifamily #LuxuryResidential

    On June 21st, Rachel Edwards VP, Investments, led a discussion at the 24th annual IMN U.S. Real Estate Opportunity and Private Fund Investing Forum on Distressed Opportunities. The discussion focused on the types of distress groups are targeting, including multifamily, office, and retail properties. It delved into the specific characteristics and challenges associated with each property type, such as occupancy rates, tenant stability, and market demand. Additionally, the conversation addressed the legal and regulatory challenges investors are encountering, including navigating complex foreclosure processes, understanding jurisdictional differences between judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, and complying with evolving zoning laws and environmental regulations. The panelists also explored strategies for overcoming these legal and regulatory hurdles to successfully manage and turn around distressed assets. #MultifamilyDevelopment #DistressedREInvesting
