Community organizers work with civic groups, media, nonprofits and philanthropy, yet are often overlooked as the vital thread that weaves communities together. These organizers work the “in-betweens” of elections to sustain a culture of participation and accountability, fostering a more vibrant and responsive democracy that leads to more involved and informed communities and a stronger sense of belonging. Join us for an expert panel discussion facilitated by Rahul Bali, WABE News politics reporter and host of Plugged In: A WABE Politics Podcast, as we delve into the imperiled state of democracy and explore our role as community members in addressing these challenges. 📅 Thursday, August 8 | 9 – 10:30 a.m. 🏢 Monday Night Garage | 933 Lee St SW, Atlanta, GA 30310 🔗 Register: https://lnkd.in/e-ymWR6M

The Transformation Center by City of Refuge, Inc.: A place that will transform lives and a community. A place we are proud to support through TogetherATL so that we can create more equity outcomes for ALL residents who call Atlanta home. Because of the funding we provided ($2.1M), residents will experience 65 years or longer of housing affordability. That is the transformation we seek to make.
