Last week, our owner and co-founder, Chef Paul Bartolotta was honored with the Joe Bartolotta Hospitality Award at VISIT Milwaukee's annual meeting. The award goes to an individual in the hospitality industry who has demonstrated exemplary commitment and passion for Milwaukee and its residents through initiatives that uplift the community, a precedent that Joe set and one we strive to continually meet in his honor. It was truly a joy to gather in celebration of Milwaukee’s growth over this past year at the Annual Meeting. Thank you, Visit Milwaukee, for the honor and recognition.

And that’s a wrap of Top Chef Wisconsin, but it is not the end of the story! This is truly Milwaukee’s moment to shine. We are so thankful to have partnered with Visit Milwaukee and Travel Wisconsin to help bring this amazing show to our state. We could not have done this without their partnership, but also our amazing team members, including Rossetti Public Relations, who worked tirelessly throughout the entire process. From welcoming and hosting the production crew during site visits, serving the judges and guest judges on several of the episodes, to jumping in and helping out whenever and wherever needed during filming. We could only have done this through our “One Team Bartolotta” focus. We are also thrilled to see one of Milwaukee’s own, Chef Dan Jacobs of DanDan, make it to the final three! Thank you, Dan, for helping to focus the spotlight on the Milwaukee dining scene, but also highlighting that no matter what someone’s circumstances may be – they can accomplish whatever they set their mind to! It was truly an honor to be a part of this special moment for our city and state, and we cannot wait to welcome all those that will want to come to Milwaukee and experience the culinary creativity and hospitality we see day in and day out.

Secretary and Chief Executive Officer at Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation

I am caught up on Top Chef - as Secretary Anne Sayers from Travel Wisconsin told me, it was an emotional rollercoaster! But now we are down to four chefs, including hometown hero, Dan Jacobs! I guess everyone is leaving for a cruise for the final shows – silly, why would you want to leave Wisconsin in the middle of spring and summer?? I have to give Paul Bartolotta a special shout-out for the amazing opportunity that #TopChef has given Wisconsin. It was his brainchild to bring the team here to see the amazing Wisconsin food, beverage and restaurant industry, and I have no doubt that he saw the potential impact such a move could create for the state. Paul is an iconic restauranteur in Milwaukee, and he is proving that his type of creative and impactful leadership is just what we need to launch us Forward! There’s a tipping point, when having a moment turns into momentum. We have reached that point Wisconsin! As we roll forward, into the convention, into the fall, towards the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, remember that the Wisconsin story is ours to tell. Let’s tell the story that we want the world to hear!
