Carreira, Ph.D. AATSP Executive Director The Smithsonian is building the National Museum of the American Latino to recognize Latino history and culture in the United States. Even though the museum is still a work in progress, the site is already a great resource for exploring the contributions and history of US Latinos with your students. TEACHING TIP: Organize a scavenger hunt on a topic of an exhibit. Write your questions in Spanish. We welcome your suggestions for other uses of this resource.
