  • We are so proud to be a service provider at Nest56, Denver's newest housing complex for 18-24 year olds who were previously in an unstable living situation. What does that mean? It means that every young person living here came from either 🔘TGTHR's emergency shelter 🔘Denver Public Schools referral 🔘Foster care system 🔘Another shelter or the streets We hear them talk about how much it means to be welcomed into such a beautiful building in a prime location, reinforcing to them they are valued and deserve a proper lift up into adulthood. Because this is how strong communities are made and how long-term homelessness is prevented. #endingyouthhomelessness #TGTHR #nest56 #supportivehousing #denverhousing #youthhousing #youthprograms #preventinghomelessness

  • Shout out to Community Food Share for always helping us keep our fridges and cupboards stocked at our emergency shelter & residential care program! Food insecurity food waste are huge concerns for our community. We are grateful to partners that support the young people we work with and benefit the greater community :) Are you able to help us out & pick up weekly food orders from their warehouse in Lafayette & bring it to our residential care program? If yes, please send us a message! We are looking for volunteer help with this! #communitypartnership #endingyouthhomelessness #communityfoodshare #foodbank #youthprograms

  • No matter where you live, join us for our annual time of year where we raise funds, awareness, and momentum to end youth homelessness! Year after year, we have had hundreds of people raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support young people experiencing homelessness, and you can join this amazing community this year too!! What are we asking you to do? 1. Create an online personal page 2. Tell your friends & family about the realities of youth homelessness & why you are raising money to support this work 3. Raise funds to provide housing and services for youth at TGTHR! By leaning into your personal networks, dozens of donations can make a big collective impact! The awareness and fundraising efforts culminate in an inspiring community event on Tuesday, September 17 that celebrates our commitment to ending youth homelessness. Join us to celebrate our collective efforts, support our programs, and hear directly from youth and staff about the impact you're making. Note: This is TGTHR's annual Sleep Out event, however, TGTHR will not be hosting the organized sleeping portion this year. Fundraisers can sleep outside, at a location of their choosing, if they wish. • Bryan was sharing with us the other day how he is already noticing the positive impact that housing has had on his mental health. He was staying at The Source, TGTHR's emergency shelter, for a little while before he moved into his own apartment at Nest56 in Denver! It has been amazing to be able to move young people directly from our shelter into housing and see our pipeline of programs in action. While TGTHR is not a housing organization, our ultimate goal is to connect young people with safe and stable housing; whether that be through supportive housing complexes that we provide services at, independent housing, reuniting with family, finding a foster care placement, or another long-term option that makes sense. We prioritize this because we see the positive effects immediately when a young person becomes stably housed. They can then focus on their job, schooling, budgeting, mental health, relationships, future goals, and so much more. This only positively impacts the entire community and prevents young people from experiencing chronic homelessness in their adult years. #endingyouthhomelessness #disruptinghomelessness #supportivehousing #TGTHR #youthservices #youthhousing #denverhousing

  • Our Nest56 Open House was such a wonderful afternoon of connection and celebration! We're grateful to all the friends, partners, neighbors, and supporters who stopped by to see the space, ask questions, learn about the program, and express support for TGTHR and the young people we work alongside! If you'd like to get more involved with TGTHR to support young people facing homelessness, please let us know! We have upcoming volunteer opportunities, events, tenant luncheon sponsorships, holiday gift drives, and more. Message us to get involved before the busy holiday season (it will be here before you know it😉)!

  • KGNU highlighting the impact of "housing first" models! TGTHR's CEO, Annie Bacci, discusses how we see young people move out of homelessness when they are provided with safe accessible, and affordable housing. TGTHR is proud to offer supportive services at two apartment complexes dedicated to young people ages 18-24 who are experiencing homelessness or have just aged out of the foster care system. We are disrupting the cycle of chronic homelessness by embracing the housing-first mentality. Listen to the interview here: https://lnkd.in/geiZNdaW

  • Sage is a tenant at Nest56, Denver's newest supportive housing complex for 18-24-year-olds exiting homelessness. TGTHR provides supportive services to Nest56 tenants, such as Sage. We have been having a busy couple of months meeting all the new tenants and getting them connected with their case managers so that they can identify goals they have while living here! The goal is to help them stabilize and then support them in moving on to independent housing. Learn more at TGTHR.org/nest56 #endingyouthhomelessness #nest56 #supportivehousing #denverhousing #rino
