About us
Texas Women’s Foundation is the largest regional women’s fund in the world. It is a trusted leader in advancing positive social and economic change for women and girls. 🌟 Today's #MissionMonday Is Dedicated To #EmpoweringWomenWithChildren: Breaking the Cycle of Poverty Through Eviction Advocacy 🌟 Conventional wisdom holds that evictions are a consequence of poverty, an idea so glaringly self-evident it hardly seems worth noting. Yet it’s an incomplete narrative because the converse is also true: evictions often create poverty. #WomenWithChildren, especially #womenofcolor, are the most likely demographic to get evicted. We are proud to support the Dallas Eviction Advocacy Center, which is providing pro bono legal representation for vulnerable tenants in Dallas County. Together, we can make a difference and help break the cycle of poverty caused by evictions. Read more about this issue below in the Texas Monthly Article: https://lnkd.in/gJiraNmX
