Protecting the stewards of land and livestock in the Southwest.

About us

The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) was founded in 1877 to combat cattle rustling and other issues facing ranchers at the time. Today, the Association continues its mission of protecting the stewards of land and livestock in the Southwest not only through law enforcement but also through educational opportunities and advocating for sound public policy on issues that impact cattle producers and landowners. Today, TSCRA has more than 17,000 beef cattle operations, ranching families and businesses as members. These members represent approximately 55,000 individuals directly involved in ranching and beef production who manage 4 million head of cattle on 76 million acres of range and pasture land primarily in Texas, Oklahoma and throughout the Southwest.
