Last month, Texans on Mission fed over 300 volunteers during Send Relief's Serve Tour and rally in Brownsville, Texas. 28 churches from 11 states came together to serve on projects from local churches, churches across Texas and other states. Many of these projects led to salvations and commitments to return in the future for volunteer work, which is a blessing! During the Serve Tour rally, TXM volunteers also cooked pork tacos and peach cobbler for volunteers as partnership opportunities from Texas Baptists, River Ministry, Texans on Mission and Send Relief were shared. What an amazing opportunity to help take care of volunteers taking care of our neighbors. In the process of providing help, hope and healing, we must remind ourselves of one of the most important parts of Texans on Mission disaster relief — planting seeds and leading people to Christ. This week, Texans on Mission volunteers are in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, to rebuild a home destroyed seven years ago by Hurricane Maria. Volunteers are replacing the roof that was torn off, leveling and tiling the concrete floors and painting. The message of faith and hope is strong in this project as they help Siri, the woman who lost her home, move forward after disaster. “There's hope after the storm,” said TXM volunteer Karen Rocha. “Even though she lost a lot, there’s still hope for her to have that second opportunity to enjoy her time being in the house, spending time with family, spending time with friends. Texans on Mission Church Builders are framing out the inside of First Baptist Church in Perrin, Texas, and have built the largest and tallest wall to date! It's 36 feet high and 72 feet long. "The project is moving along at a great pace, and we plan to complete it on time. We have had a great turnout of church members to assist us,” said Builders Director Wayne Pritchard. The build will be completed this week. TXM is so grateful for projects like these as we get to see volunteers come together to serve the Lord in more ways than one. #woodwork #builders #texas #texansonmission #TBM

Transforming lives through clean water and the Good News, Texans and Ugandans on Mission witnessed 910 salvations and 105 baptisms within the first six months of 2024.
