As the most comprehensive COPD program in the country, the Temple Lung Center has been involved in every aspect of BLVR and LVRS research, continuously advancing the standard of care for patients. Last week, the Temple Lung Center performed the first US-based procedure in the CONVERT II trial. This innovative approach targets and treats fissural defects that cause collateral ventilation between lung lobes, expanding access for more patients to qualify for minimally invasive BLVR treatment. As one of the leading COPD research and treatment centers in the world, the Temple Lung Center is proud to partner with Pulmonx Corporation on this trial and is committed to expanding treatment options for advanced COPD patients.

Global Collaboration for Burn Care Excellence. Temple Health was honored to host a team of Ukrainian burn surgeons and nurses from Kiev and Lviv. These brave clinicians face war-related trauma daily and traveled to Philadelphia to learn from the renowned Temple Burn Center. Observing the practice of Dr. Lisa Rae, Medical Director, Temple Burn Center and Associate Professor, Surgery, Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, our Ukrainian colleagues gained valuable insights into advanced burn treatment techniques and hospital operations. This collaboration, organized by Global Response Medicine (GRM) and supported by the World Health Organization (WHO), brings Temple's leading approaches for burn treatment to physicians across the world.
