We're undertaking a unique industry listening exercise... "The Hundred" is a chance to see the industry's development from the supplier-side. It's a commitment of 100 hours of interviewing over the next 4 months, so it's no small feat, but we've pitched it to The Beat as part of the submissions by readers for the keynote, so we're all-in now! If you're a Beat Live subscriber you can vote for our pitch or one of the very many fantastic other submissions. https://lnkd.in/dW3n5qHs As a follower of temoji on linkedIn you'll be one of the first to see the results. Well done you!! If you're a supplier who wants to participate you can DM Paul Tilstone, but you're probably already on our list to contact as 100 is a lot of you! We just want to talk with your most senior leader who gets travel & meetings management. #IntellectualCapital

I'm almost packed and ready to head to Atlanta for The GBTA | Global Business Travel Association Convention. This year, I'm popping my GBTA moderation cherry and on behalf of temoji consulting I'll be running an education session for Navan with a fabulous panel—Kim Hamer, Bryan Bachrad, and Abijit Patel — an interactive discussion on "A new dawn for hotel distribution." Set your alarm and see you bright and early on Wednesday morning for a lively and engaging forty-five minutes!

4th and final in a series of 4 - About temoji... Intro: When we set about trying to describe who we are, we decided to use four simple, commissioned (retro-70's style) images to explain. You'll see these on the temoji tee-shirts whenever we are at events (incl GBTA Convention in Atlanta in 2 weeks). Here's the fourth of four... Image 4 - "Special Sauce"... When you need to change something up you need that special ingredient. Our deep industry knowledge, the networks we have developed, the insights we have gleaned, and continue to do so through deep industry listening, and our independent perspective all make the temoji team that special sauce our clients look for to stand out amongst the crowd. But this is one area we personally don't need to tell you much about, because you can just see what our clients say about us directly on this link here https://lnkd.in/dnbvWc-F Of course, just as we're working on developing the pink temoji cocktail, there's a temoji hot-sauce in the planning too... #SocialCapital #IntellectualCapital

3rd in a series of 4 - About temoji... Intro: When we set about trying to describe who we are, we decided to use four simple, commissioned (retro-70's style) images to explain. You'll see these on the temoji tee-shirts whenever we are at events (incl GBTA Convention in Atlanta in 2 weeks). Here's the third of four... Image 3 - "The cocktail"... We're that first sip of a delicious cocktail. A pink one of course! But what does that mean? The temoji way is to speak to what we see, not necessarily what you want to hear. We're not afraid of this. And it is an important point, but not always the easiest to deliver to clients as you can imagine (only the other day we told a client that they still had a legacy image to overcome before people saw them as innovators....we haven't had a reply). When we say "hot-pink cocktail" we don't mean hot like mulled wine of course, we mean the colour hot-pink. Vibrant, stand-out and refreshing, that's what we aim for in the opinions and energy we bring to your client and prospect engagement efforts. We know you'll want to know if you can order a "temoji" at the bar. Let's just say we're working on it.

2nd in a series of 4 - About temoji... Intro: When we set about trying to describe who we are, we decided to use four simple, commissioned (retro-70's style) images to explain. You'll see these on the temoji tee-shirts whenever we are at events (incl GBTA Convention in Atlanta in 2 weeks). Here's the second of four... Image 2 - "The fun bus"... The temoji bus screams fun, with its bright pink decor and temoji emblem on the front. Wherever you're going in this van it should be as much about the journey as it is about the destination. That's really a mantra of ours...each day should be enjoyable, each client engagement enjoyable too. It doesn't mean that we don't get our heads down and work hard, of course we do, and it doesn't mean there isn't time to be serious, as when it comes to leveraging our clients' budgets we are deadly serious. It doesn't mean that we can't have tough conversations when both parties need to, sometimes that's a must. But "driving the fun bus" does mean we aren't afraid to enjoy ourselves whilst we work hard, and because of that, this energy often raises the energy of our clients. One of our temojians says it best..."fun is not the enemy of work" : Aurélie Krau. #SocialCapitalCreators

1st in a series of 4 - About temoji... When we set about trying to describe who we are, we decided to use four simple, commissioned (retro-70's style) images to explain. You'll see these on the temoji tee-shirts whenever we are at events (incl GBTA Convention in Atlanta in 2 weeks). Here's the first of four... Image 1 - The isle of temoji We describe ourselves as an island because it's a metaphor for how we are different to mainland-corporate. Our model has no employees, and purposefully so. We're proud of it, as it represents the fact that each temojian islander is self-resilient and independent, but supportive of the whole. The model allows our people to self-determine their work-life balance whilst leveraging their personalities, knowledge and skill to create a living for themselves. This results in happy people delivering for happy clients. Of course, the model isn't for everyone, and we recognise that. One person's paradise is another person's....well...you decide. #SocialCapital #IntellectualCapital

Thoughts from the Business Travel Show 2024. Insights gained from plenty of walks'n talks. #SocialCapital #IntellectualCapital

Walk'n Talker, Serial consulting and association guy, Founder of temoji - consultancy, marketing and advisory for corporate travel and meetings industry suppliers.

Evolution, Whispers & Focus… Big trade shows like Business Travel Show Europe are a chance to mentally note and group independent insights into trends. Of course, one person’s trend is another person’s fad... and some of the stuff we hear isn't for publication, but here’s what we saw last week from the show and surrounding announcements and what we’ll be looking at more as we hit Atlanta and GBTA | Global Business Travel Association convention Platform Evolution Continues… It was clear to see all the hard work the Clarity Business Travel team had been up to these last few months. New content platform and customer UI, new brand. And the news of TravelPerk’s acquisition of AmTrav was welcome news with two really strong companies combining. Well done to both. This and other micro-service partnerships (like Grapevine and Jyrney) all demonstrate to us that the sector is continuing to see blurred lines all the way from content consumption, through agent servicing and customer facing tech.   And that different companies are taking different paths - proprietary v best-in-class, open architecture v closed. We expect this to continue, or even accelerate, and for travel buyers to continue to delve into the distribution & servicing tech stack. New Entrant Whispers… The show brought whispers of at least two brand new TMCs planning to enter the market in the next two months. Each of them sees an opportunity to leverage modern technology approaches and a desire for something different. Of course, it's not our place to provide more details, but keep your ears and eyes open for some exciting new brands coming our way. Alongside more likely acquisitions this makes for a real freshening of the corporate travel management space. Sector Specific Focus In addition to a continued focus at the enterprise level into the benefits of serving specific industry sectors (think energy, media, teams, projects, small meetings etc), we’re also seeing a continued focus on the small to mid-market corporate travel programmes and the unmanaged travel space. David Holyoke ’s appointment to Serko Ltd. is an illustration of this and we wonder how many others may start to look at the levels below enterprise and more into capturing the unmanaged sector. Is this as a result of potential demand drops in large enterprise as carbon targets and financial cycles bite, or is it purely just the growth of smaller businesses or a logical step into a relatively untapped space (Amex GBT have reported incredible growth here recently)? Or is it even a bet on the growth in unmanaged as a result of continued content fragmentation? We’d love to know what you see here. Oh, finally, thanks to BCD Travel and esp Zoe Lau for the AI tweaked pilot photo. If this is only the minimum AI can do for me and our industry, I'm in! #IntellectualCapital #SocialCapital

Walk'n Talk Alert - Plans for GBTA Atlanta... Had some fantastic "walk'n talks" in between business on my USA West Coast to Chicago tour these last two weeks. 🚶♂️ A lovely walk to Navy Pier, Chicago, with Santiago Vallejo . We talked all things life, managing change, family, TMC, banking, the coffee business and much more. Thanks Danièle Gadbois, GLP for the intro. 🚶♂️ A fabulous day out with Diane Lundeen Smith, GTP, PMP, all day Saturday, in the Seattle area...going from bakery to beach to mountain (Snowqualmie Falls). Diane and I were born on exactly the same day/same year, so we feel connected and I refer to her as "Twinnie", so it was lovely to spend so much time with each other. We talked about family life, business life, the industry, waterfalls, beer, you name it. Thanks for the tour Diane, I forgot to tip! 🚶♂️ I got to spend lunch and a walk with Tahnee Perry in downtown San Francisco talking all things temoji consulting but neglected to take a photo - doh!! I was so fortunate to be in SFO the very week we announced Tahnee joining us. 🚶♂️ And ofcourse, my walk around Bellvue/Seattle with Aaron Lingley which I already posted. I'm already nearly full for Business Travel Show but plan to set up a morning (much cooler!) of walking in Atlanta on the fabulous Beltline, so if you're in early for GBTA (Sunday or Monday) and want to connect please DM me. 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♀️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️ 🚶♂️
