TechOceanS will host an Innovation Workshop on the future of ocean technology at The Challenger Society Conference 2024. This workshop will showcase nine ground-breaking technologies developed by the project, designed to enhance our ability to monitor, protect, and sustainably use ocean resources. The session will begin with a series of flash presentations, offering concise overviews of each technology, followed by real-world examples of testing, demonstrations, and validation efforts. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with dummy versions of the technologies, providing hands-on experience and fostering a deeper understanding of their practical applications. This workshop is ideal for marine technology professionals, researchers, and stakeholders interested in the latest advancements in marine tech innovation. #h2020 #sensors #marinetech #blueeconomy

Well done team RoCSI 👏 👏 👏 RoCSI is one of the key technologies which has been progressed during TechOceanS project. Key innovations made during that time include improving the robustness of the system and a reduction to the size of the pressure housing allowing integration into a wider variety of platforms. RoCSI was tested on ALRs during deployments at Plataforma Oceánica de Canarias (PLOCAN) facilities in March 2024.
Thanks for the goodies, McLane Research Laboratories, Inc.! This lego and puzzle set was a big hit over the summer holidays last week. It's of our recently licensed autonomous water sampling device, 'RoCSI.' It's great to see this innovation now available through McLane to others working in the field of environmental DNA (eDNA) monitoring.
