As I complete my summer internship at Novelis, I am filled with gratitude. Kevin Starks, you have been an excellent mentor, and your guidance has been invaluable and has significantly contributed to my professional growth. I also want to thank Novelis for the opportunity to work at your largest research facility and for providing an enabling workplace. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Ashley Gravlee Walsh for facilitating this internship through TAG-Ed and Bebita Metellus🇭🇹 for referring me to this incredible opportunity at Novelis. It was a deeply enriching experience—this was my first job in a professional organization—and I enhanced my skills in robotics design, CAD, pneumatic systems, 3D-printing with new materials like Onyx and new printers like Mark-Forged, electrical systems and wiring, encoders and sensors, PLC programming, CNC and bearings. I also improved my communication, organizational techniques, time management, and presentation skills. Last but not least, I want to thank my fellow interns Akhil Alwin, Nikesh Patel, Evan Meltzer, and Kameron Fournillier for exceptional teamwork and mutual support during this internship. While the internship ended today, our friendship will continue to live on. This has been an invaluable experience for me, and it significantly broadened my horizons in engineering and on a personal level.
