Words cannot even express how wonderful the past few weeks have been! This Friday marked the end of my time at Ingenuity Prep, where I worked as the 5th Grade ELA instructor for their summer school program. I have to offer a huge shoutouts to Glenn Huang for being the best Summer School Director anyone could ask for, and to Frances Pierre and Erika Knapp for leading our entire cohort brilliantly. To my cohort peers -- you all are incredible, and working with you recently has been one of my greatest pleasures. Each and every one of you is going to be an incredible teacher! My Teach For America journey in DC will continue later this summer as I begin Leadership Development at my fall placement school -- I will be working at Rocketship Public Schools as a Kindergarten ELA Teacher! I cannot wait to apply all that I've learned this summer and continue working to improve my skills as a new educator. Most importantly, to the kiddos in my first ever class (not pictured here): I love you all dearly, just from our short time together. Every card you wrote, every hug you gave, and every smile you wore will live with me forever.
