Last week, The Chicago School hosted the 3rd Annual State of Mental Health Summit at the University Club in Chicago, bringing together a diverse group of professionals and advocates passionate about mental health. The event commenced with a keynote address by Michele Nealon, Psy.D., president of The Chicago School, which set a powerful tone for the discussions that followed. Panels focused on evolving public health policies and practices in response to current mental health challenges, innovative approaches to ensuring mental health is considered a fundamental part of overall health, and strategies for integrating behavioral health into health care systems. It was an inspiring day that highlighted the commitment of all attendees to improve mental health outcomes in our communities.
I'm at a very inspiring afternoon at The Chicago School as we learn about the state of #MentalHealth and the importance of #IntegratedHealth. I was pleased to kick things off and introduce my long-time friend and colleague, the brilliant Michele Nealon, Psy.D. President Nealon made clear the critical need to view mental health from an integrated perspective and told us of next steps for the proposed Illinois College of Osteopathic Medicine!
