Today we are sharing sad news with you 🤕 The European Advanced Course on Clinical Tuberculosis that was planned for September 2024 has been canceled. 😭 This announcement is hard to make as we believe that this course would have been a great opportunity for healthcare professionals working on #tuberculosis (TB) and infectious diseases to learn novelties on clinical #TB management. However the reasons behind its cancellation are beyond our power. Not directly connected to tuberculosis but still a very important report from the WHO analysing the commercial determinants of #noncommunicable diseases in the WHO European Region. Nearly 7500 deaths per day in the Region are attributed to commercial determinants, such as tobacco, alcohol, processed food, fossil fuels and occupational practices. These commercial products and practices contribute to 25% of all deaths in the Region. https://lnkd.in/e5Tsn4cp
