Communities where no one has to go hungry.
About us
Our Vision: Communities where no one has to go hungry. Our Mission: Empowering our communities to alleviate hunger by providing food, education and resources. A central clearinghouse for donated food and groceries, Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) receives fresh, frozen and nonperishable food donated by the food industry and the community. Dedicated volunteers help sort, inspect and repackage the food, which is then distributed to our network of 270 Partner Agencies serving hungry children, families and seniors in North Texas. The people who generously donate their time, funds and skills to TAFB help make the services we provide to the community possible. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

THANK YOU to the Tarrant County Clerk’s Office for partnering with Tarrant Area Food Bank to feed hungry families in our area! We are truly grateful for the generosity of the staff that came together to support this initiative, ensuring that everyone feels celebrated on their birthday. Their annual birthday cake drive is just one slice of the amazing work Tarrant County is doing to support their neighbors who are struggling to make ends meet.
