It was an honor to represent BioMADE and highlight our members' technologies at the Department of Defense Manufacturing Technology Program's Pentagon Day event last week! BioMADE showcased everything from clothing made from captured carbon, cement made from bacteria, face masks made from regenerative squid proteins, rubber made from dandelions, and many more innovative biosolutions.

Squitex is in the hall of fame at Penn State’s Old Main. After a decade of hard work on Squitex fibers, our efforts have been included in the new Research Art Curation, which is a collection of works from various areas across Penn State University. This collection showcases the fine balance between research and art. The picture features the blend fabric of Squitex denim, along with famous lion paws made of protein powder. Over the year, we have achieved numerous milestones and accomplishments, which have helped to consolidate our position in the market. Among these achievements, we successfully developed prototypes of denim and dress made with protein blend fibers and executed two BioMADE grants. A superb day yesterday at UMassM2D2 HQ as 3 of our startups shared their innovation as part of a hackathon exercise with #MBA students from Suffolk University. Thank you to Barlume Cosmetics, myBiometry, and Tandem Repeat, who showcased their solutions and set challenges around #Accessibility, #Inclusivity, and #Sustainability. Kudos to all the student teams who came up with a range of novel ideas to support #GTMStrategy and #StakeholderEngagement. Ultimately, we are all patients and users, and so these types of interactions provide valuable learning outcomes all round as different perspectives are shared. Thank you to Professors I.
