The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority is saddened to share that former Board Member Adelaide Few passed away this morning at age 87. Adelaide was the first woman to serve on our Board after being appointed by the late former Gov. Bob Graham in 1981 and serving until 1990. She was also first female Chair and had a tremendous impact on our organization. She will be missed. She supported the Authority’s long-range planning for Tampa International Airport, including the construction of Airside F for international travel. It was just one of many in a list of trailblazing accomplishments for Adelaide, who also raised three children, earned a law degree at Stetson University and served on several boards, committees and other organizations that served our Tampa Bay community and state.
